IT Project Manager - Enterprise Technology Modernization

Location: Columbia, SC (100% Onsite, 5 Days/Week)
Duration: Long Term Contract
CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (Consultant) to support a large-scale Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for project scheduling, PMO support, reporting, risk management, and coordination across stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex project schedules and PMO artifacts
- Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Collect and apply schedule updates from project teams
- Monitor project critical paths and key milestones
- Produce schedule variance, earned value, and project performance metrics
- Facilitate and document project schedule meetings
- Create and maintain project risks, issues, action items, and status reports
- Support resource forecasting and planning activities
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure adherence to schedule management processes
- Assist project teams with estimating, scheduling, and resource planning
- Provide weekly and monthly project reporting to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of PMO experience, including project governance, project execution, schedule management, scope management, change management, and risk management
- 2–3 years of project planning, scheduling, reporting, metrics, and resource management experience
- 2–3 years of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) planning experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, or Associate's degree with 10+ years of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Project Server / Project Web App (PWA)
- Experience working in Agile software development environments
- Professional Project Management certification
