IT Project Manager - Enterprise Technology Modernization

Healthcare & Government Programs

Location: Columbia, SC (100% Onsite, 5 Days/Week)

Duration: Long Term Contract


CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (Consultant) to support a large-scale Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for project scheduling, PMO support, reporting, risk management, and coordination across stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain complex project schedules and PMO artifacts
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Collect and apply schedule updates from project teams
  • Monitor project critical paths and key milestones
  • Produce schedule variance, earned value, and project performance metrics
  • Facilitate and document project schedule meetings
  • Create and maintain project risks, issues, action items, and status reports
  • Support resource forecasting and planning activities
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure adherence to schedule management processes
  • Assist project teams with estimating, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Provide weekly and monthly project reporting to stakeholders


Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of PMO experience, including project governance, project execution, schedule management, scope management, change management, and risk management
  • 2–3 years of project planning, scheduling, reporting, metrics, and resource management experience
  • 2–3 years of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) planning experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, or Associate's degree with 10+ years of project management experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Project Server / Project Web App (PWA)
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments
  • Professional Project Management certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
