Job description

Job Summary:
Berkeley Charter Education Association is dedicated to providing quality education and is seeking an IT Technician. The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the school's technology systems, ensuring that all technology resources are functional and up-to-date.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other technology equipment.
• Provide technical support to students, teachers, and staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Assist in the setup of multimedia and technology equipment for classrooms and events.
• Assist in the development of student and staff accounts and ensure they are created for all educational platforms.
• Maintain the school’s network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi and server management.
• Keep track of technology inventory and coordinate the repair and replacement of equipment as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends and recommend upgrades as necessary.
• Ensure that all technology systems are compliant with security and privacy regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Previous experience working in IT support or a technical role.
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of network and hardware systems.
Preferred:
• Experience with educational software and tools is a plus.
