Job Summary:
The Garrett Companies is seeking a Technology Manager to support the day-to-day operations of their technology infrastructure. This role involves managing technology projects, providing technical support, and ensuring efficient operation of systems and hardware across all locations.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for technology support across all company locations, coordinating with the managed IT provider (Ciscom) to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
• Manage and maintain inventory of all company technology assets, including computers, iPads, mobile devices, and software licenses.
• Support the onboarding and offboarding of employees by supplying devices, accounts, and system access, overseeing all setup and coordination with Office Manager.
• Assist with the administration of cloud-based business applications, including Microsoft 365, and other core platforms used across the organization.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of IT security practices, including endpoint protection, access controls, and compliance monitoring.
• Support IT projects, including system upgrades, new software rollouts, and office technology installations.
• Train and support employees on technology tools, platforms, and best practices.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and user experience.
• Maintain documentation for IT systems, processes, and configurations.
• Partner with the Director of IT Business Systems to evaluate and recommend new technology solutions that support organizational growth and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree is preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in IT operations, systems administration, or technology management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Entra ID).
• Experience with end-user device management and IT asset tracking.
• Working knowledge of IT security principles, including endpoint protection and access management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools preferred.
• Experience working with managed IT service providers preferred.
