Job description

HOF Capital is a global multi-stage venture capital (VC) firm that partners with the world's best founders and helps them build generational category-defining technology companies. Since launching its first fund in 2016, the firm has invested in some of the most successful technology startups of the past decade (e.g., SpaceX, Anthropic, OpenAI, Neuralink, xAI, etc.) and achieved top-tier investment performance throughout its history, which has enabled the firm to grow rapidly to $10B+ of assets under management (AUM).

Due to this rapid growth, HOF Capital is seeking an A+ writer to join its team. This Writer will help lead the firm’s global branding, communications, thought leadership, and content creation strategies. In addition, this Writer will collaborate closely with the investment team to directly shape how HOF Capital is perceived by founders, investors, and the broader technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Brand Leadership: Help develop and execute a global branding strategy aligned with HOF Capital’s investment philosophy and objectives. Position HOF Capital as a thought leader and top-tier global VC brand.
  • Content Creation: Lead the creation of compelling content, including thought leadership articles, blog posts, social media posts, case studies, videos, and interviews that showcase HOF Capital's investment successes and market insights.
  • Public Relations & Communications: Help manage relationships with PR agencies and top-tier media outlets to amplify HOF Capital's message and successes. Oversee thought leadership initiatives including industry reports, insights, and strategic storytelling.
  • Digital & Social Media: Direct digital campaign efforts, optimizing channels such as the website, SEO, newsletters, podcasts, and social media platforms. Utilize data analytics to enhance audience engagement and improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Founder & Investor Engagement: Help design initiatives that attract top-tier founders and deepen relationships with other institutional investors. Support deal sourcing and investment processes through targeted campaigns and content.
  • Events & Community Building: Help plan, execute, and manage high-impact events, conferences, webinars, and workshops that foster community and thought leadership. Cultivate a robust global network and presence within the tech and investment communities.
  • Portfolio Company Support: Provide HOF Capital's portfolio companies with guidance and support in relevant areas of expertise, similar to the areas of responsibilities described above.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Excellent writer with exceptional storytelling, content creation, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality content about VC, technology, and startups.
  • Deep understanding of the global VC, technology, and startup ecosystems.
  • Extremely capable, disciplined, responsible, hard-working, detail-oriented, conscientious, and self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Team player with no ego.
  • Innate desire to become the best.
  • Genuine passion for supporting technology startups that have the potential to become generational category-defining companies.

The ideal candidate should be excited to:

  • Create high-quality content about VC, technology, and startups.
  • Significantly shape HOF Capital’s global brand and reputation.
  • Contribute meaningfully to HOF Capital’s mission of investing in and building generational technology companies.
  • Collaborate directly with visionary founders, and help HOF Capital's portfolio companies become as successful as possible, no matter what it takes.
  • Work with other HOF Capital team members to ensure the success of other firm-wide initiatives.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary + bonus + benefits.
