Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Gas Mechanic II (Tech 5 or higher) in our Carlin Surface Maintenance department.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, repair and maintain a diverse light vehicle fleet
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic engine controls
  • Diagnose and repair engine failures as needed
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical issues as needed
  • Complete routine maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe functioning of light vehicles and support equipment as needed
  • Maintain shop areas, tooling and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required
  • Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required
  • Experience repairing light vehicles and support equipment preferred
  • Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required
  • Lift at least 50 lbs. required
  • Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required
  • Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record required
  • Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
