Overview

The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of food orders between the kitchen and service staff while maintaining high standards of food quality, accuracy, and presentation. This position plays a critical role in coordinating timing and communication between cooks and servers in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism and excellent teamwork.

This is a temporary role that will start June 11, 2026, and will end on June 23, 2026

This role pays an hourly rate of $24.00 - $26.00.

This position will remain open until June 31, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the smooth flow of orders and ensure efficient delivery of food service.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with cooks, servers, and kitchen staff regarding orders, timing, and special requests.
  • Verify completed kitchen orders against guest tickets to ensure accuracy before food is delivered.
  • Coordinate food timing to ensure all items for a table are served together and at the appropriate temperature.
  • Inspect the quality, appearance, and presentation of dishes before service.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and food presentation standards.
  • Support restaurant-wide sanitation and cleanliness standards, including stocking and organizing service areas as needed.
  • Maintain professional communication and positive working relationships with team members and management staff.
  • Assist the team in reaching operational goals while maintaining a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality for all scheduled shifts.
  • Follow company policies, safety standards, and department dress code requirements at all times.
  • Operates in a fast-paced restaurant and event environment with frequent exposure to high-volume service periods, kitchen activity, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with expos, servers, chefs, and other team members under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to company dress code standards required.
  • Ability to think clearly, prioritize tasks, and solve problems in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess a valid food handler's certificate.
