FreshTax is a rapidly growing tax resolution firm helping individuals resolve IRS and state tax issues. Our team works with clients facing complex tax situations and provides practical solutions that help them move forward financially.
We operate in a fast-paced environment focused on strong client service, accuracy, and professional growth.
About the Role: 
FreshTax is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team.
In this role, you will prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses, analyze financial information, and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations. You will also work closely with our internal teams to support clients involved in tax resolution matters.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in tax preparation, and comfortable working directly with clients.
This is a full-time, in-office position at our Santa Ana, CA headquarters.

Compensation: 
  • $60,000 – $150,000 per year
  • Compensation based on experience and performance
What You'll Do: 
Tax Preparation: 
  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Ensure returns are accurate and compliant with current tax regulations
Financial Analysis: 
  • Review financial documents to identify deductions, credits, and potential tax savings
  • Analyze financial information to ensure proper reporting
Client Support: 
  • Communicate with clients to collect tax documentation
  • Explain tax filing requirements and answer client questions
Compliance & Documentation: 
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM and tax preparation software
  • Ensure all documentation is organized and properly filed
Team Collaboration: 
  • Work closely with case managers and internal teams
  • Assist with tax-related tasks that support client resolution cases
What You'll Need: 
  • Active CTEC certification or Enrolled Agent license
  • Valid PTIN
  • Minimum 2 years of tax preparation experience
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
  • Experience with tax preparation or accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple returns and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and common accounting tools
