Job description

We are looking for a Tax Resolution Associate to help our clients with their tax liabilities. You’ll provide guidance on how businesses can minimize their tax liability now and how they can optimize their tax payment for the long term. Responsibilities:

  • Go over the client’s financial records including income statements and previous tax returns to calculate the amount of taxable income they have
  • Look over every tax form to ensure it is accurate and complies with tax law
  • Inform customers about the process for submitting their income tax returns and be clear about the deadlines to ensure clients' taxes are filed on time
  • Provide guidance for future taxes and help them make a plan for the upcoming year to save as much money as possible
  • Serve as a liaison between tax authorities and the client, submitting the final tax forms on their behalf
  • Schedule consultations to go over tax strategy with clients
  • Check financial documents for accuracy
  • Use the utmost care when handling documents that contain private client information
  • Ensure taxes are filed on time by explaining the tax process to clients and informing them of all deadlines
  • Negotiate with IRS and State taxing authorities
