PLEASE NOTE: To be considered for this position, Polston is currently hiring remote telework positions for workers located in AL, AZ, AR, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, MD, MA, MO, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WI.

REQUIRED:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, or another state within the United States, at the time of application.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience negotiating tax resolutions with the state and/or IRS.

What Will You Do?

Supported by experienced staff, Attorneys will be part of the creative process in solving tax cases and managing an assigned caseload.

  • Review a detailed financial analysis of the client’s income, expenses, and assets to determine and/or confirm qualified resolution options for client.
  • Research and develop strategies to defend client’s position while considering their specific goals.
  • Negotiate tax resolutions on behalf of clients with the state and/or IRS government entities either via phone or in person.
  • Consistently communicate with clients via email/phone/video call/mail regarding case updates and expectations.
  • Respond in a timely manner to client inquiries and requests.
  • Prioritize and manage caseload and assignments.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in Oklahoma, or another state within the United States, at the time of application.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience negotiating tax resolutions with the state and/or IRS.
  • A positive attitude and customer service mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with great follow up.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the skill to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.
  • Capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Capability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with a lot of client interaction
