Description
TRISTAR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Task Manager to join our team. The Task Manager leads mission-critical projects in national security with responsibilities including planning, execution and oversight of complex technical tasks in support of NSWC Crane. This is an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans that define scope, deliverables, schedules, milestones, resource requirements, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Coordinate project execution across Software Engineering, Cyber Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Contracts, Finance, and Information Technology teams.
  • Manage project cost and schedule performance using structured project controls, including baseline management, forecasting, variance analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Support and oversee Financial Management activities while ensuring reporting aligns with contractual obligations and internal governance requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, with emphasis on technical uncertainty, supplier performance, compliance obligations, export controls, information security, and mission impact.
  • Develop, maintain, and escalate mitigation and contingency plans as appropriate to support successful project execution.
  • Serve as the primary interface for internal and external stakeholders regarding project execution, communications, and coordination.
  • Support customer reviews, milestone reviews, readiness reviews, status reporting, and decision-making forums while maintaining clear and secure communications.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, defense acquisition expectations, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Support documentation, change control, audit readiness, configuration awareness, and quality management requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive team accountability and delivery discipline by facilitating meetings, resolving cross-functional constraints, tracking action items, and promoting collaboration in highly regulated, deadline-driven environments.

Requirements
  • Experience with formal customer reporting and structured governance environments.
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be able to remain stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move throughout the office to access equipment and materials.
  • Frequently communicates with coworkers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, operations, or a related field. Equivalent experience in defense, aerospace, manufacturing, systems integration, or government contracting environments may also be considered depending on organizational standards.
  • PMP, Agile Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications. The role requires working knowledge of project management principles, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, stakeholder engagement, and change control.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
