Precise Systems is seeking a highly organized, mission-focused Task Manager and Administrator to support the Model Based Engineering and Analysis Division at NSWC Crane. This position provides task coordination, administrative support, schedule management, deliverables tracking, documentation control, reporting, and division workflow support for Model-Based Engineering and analysis efforts.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting project coordination, task management, administrative operations, and technical team workflows within a defense, engineering, or DoD mission-support environment. This role serves as a critical coordination link between division leadership, engineering teams, technical leads, and program stakeholders to help ensure tasks, schedules, documentation, and deliverables are properly tracked, updated, and completed in accordance with mission priorities and security requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage high-volume workloads, and proficiency with enterprise project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and related workflow management systems.

This role requires in-person support. 

Duties:

  • Support daily task management, administrative coordination, and operational workflow execution for Model-Based Engineering and analysis initiatives.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, action items, deliverables, due dates, and task status across multiple engineering and analysis efforts.
  • Monitor, forecast, and provide early notification to division leadership, branch leads, task leads, and technical leads when deliverables or key actions are approaching due dates.
  • Maintain and update project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Gantt charts, OnePager, SharePoint, and other government-approved project management systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure tasks are properly assigned, updated, tracked, and progressing in accordance with project priorities.
  • Consolidate input from technical leads to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports for division leadership.
  • Support development of program status briefs, project health reports, action item trackers, and management-level reporting products.
  • Collect, monitor, report, maintain, and publish division metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as an administrator or key user for division project management and collaboration systems, ensuring information is current, organized, and accessible to authorized users.
  • Maintain division repositories, project files, engineering documentation, model-related artifacts, analysis reports, meeting records, and other controlled documentation.
  • Support document control and version management to ensure technical information, engineering products, analysis documentation, and official records are properly organized and retrievable.
  • Assist with configuration and documentation control activities, including maintaining records, tracking updates, supporting document reviews, and ensuring approved changes are incorporated.
  • Coordinate technical reviews, working groups, Integrated Product Team meetings, scheduling sessions, and division-level meetings.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action item logs, briefing materials, official correspondence, memoranda, and other administrative products.
  • Track meeting outcomes, decisions, open actions, responsible parties, and suspense dates.
  • Support division visits, program reviews, and leadership engagements by maintaining records of topics discussed, attendees, action items, and follow-up requirements.
  • Assist with the development, review, maintenance, and update of division Standard Operating Procedures, process documentation, and administrative workflow guides.
  • Support records management activities and assist with maintaining a structured records management system for division documentation.
  • Coordinate across technical, administrative, security, quality, and program support personnel to improve workflow efficiency and accountability.
  • Provide recommendations to improve task tracking, reporting, documentation, meeting coordination, and project execution processes.
  • Ensure work products are handled in accordance with applicable security, CUI, OPSEC, records management, and information protection requirements.
  • Support leadership with special projects, data calls, schedule updates, status inputs, and other administrative or coordination requirements as assigned.

Desired Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, Engineering Management, or a related field.

Desired Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, task management, administrative support, program support, or technical team coordination.
  • Experience supporting defense, engineering, technical, or DoD mission-support environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Experience tracking project schedules, milestones, deliverables, action items, and program documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, SharePoint, or similar project management and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to consolidate technical input into clear status reports, briefings, meeting minutes, and leadership-ready products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, technical leads, program managers, government customers, and contractor support teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Model-Based Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, systems engineering, test and evaluation, or technical analysis teams.
  • Experience maintaining engineering document repositories, controlled files, technical reports, model documentation, or analysis products.
  • Familiarity with configuration management, document control, records management, or quality management workflows.
  • Experience supporting NSWC Crane, NAVSEA, or other Navy/DoD organizations.
  • Experience preparing weekly and monthly status reports, program review materials, action item trackers, and leadership briefings.
  • Experience supporting Jira workflows, Microsoft Project schedules, SharePoint libraries, Teams collaboration spaces, or other enterprise information systems.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements to increase task visibility, schedule accuracy, and reporting consistency.

Security Requirements:

  • Candidate must comply with applicable security, CUI, OPSEC, records management, and information protection requirements.
  • Candidate must complete all required government and contract-specific training as directed.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
