JOB SUMMARY
CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center (HPMC) is an acute care facility that has been caring for the Hollywood community and surrounding areas since 1924. HPMC is part of a global healthcare enterprise which owns and operates general hospitals throughout Korea, numerous fertility and research centers in the U.S. and Korea including CHA Fertility Center, a medical university, and CHAUM (a premier anti-aging life center).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Position Summary:
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers, including policy guidance and issue resolution
  • Answers phone calls and answers general HR questions
  • Assist with employee relations, including investigations and documentation
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce changes
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Assist with performance management and employee development processes
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Support administration of employee programs and initiatives
  • Assist with development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
  • Track required licenses, certifications, and training
  • Identify and support process improvements across HR functions
  • Assist with HR reporting and data tracking
  • Support training, orientation, and employee communications
  • Partner with departments to support operational and workforce needs
JOB QUALIFICATION
Minimum Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience with California employment laws, compensations, benefits administration, employee relations, and recruitment.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage at all levels of the organization, with strong verbal and writing communicational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications
 
  • 2 years of experience in HR roles within a healthcare setting, preferably in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements specific to the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation
 
  • Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of hire)
  • Assault Response Competency (ARC) (required within 30 days of hire)
