ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Regional Unique Asset Leader is a senior leadership role within the Unique Asset Group responsible for overseeing a team of Unique Asset Managers and Associates managing complex and specialized assets, including real estate and tangible personal property. This role drives operational excellence, ensures regulatory and risk compliance, and fosters the development of high-performing teams. The leader partners directly with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver strong outcomes, while maintaining deep expertise in unique asset management, regulatory requirements, real estate law, and industry best practices.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.
- Strategic Leadership: Provides strategic direction and oversight to a team managing complex unique asset portfolios, ensuring alignment to business objectives and consistent execution across the function.
- Asset Management Oversight: Oversees management of unique assets including real estate and tangible personal property, spanning leasing, inspections, valuations, environmental risk, insurance, tax compliance, rent and loan collection, and property maintenance.
- Risk Management: Identifies, assesses, and escalates risks associated with unique assets while ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Client Relationship Management: Partners with clients and external advisors to understand unique asset needs, deliver strong outcomes, and build long-term relationships.
- Business Strategy & Execution: Makes strategic decisions regarding product offerings, staffing, resource allocation, budgeting, and project prioritization to support business objectives.
- Due Diligence & Onboarding: Leads due diligence efforts for onboarding new assets, identifying risks and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
- Direct Portfolio Management: Maintains the ability to directly manage a portfolio of unique assets as needed, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, environmental assessments, and property oversight.
- Collaboration & Communication: Serves as a key liaison across internal business units and external partners to ensure alignment, transparency, and effective coordination.
- Team Development: Develops team members through coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities to build a strong talent pipeline and succession plan.
- Operational Excellence: Drives efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement to enhance performance and client outcomes.
- Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team's and the company's mission.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in unique asset management, fiduciary services, or related experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex assets, including real estate and/or tangible personal property.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualified candidates will possess an advanced degree of proficiency (typically from 10+ years of work or practical experience), in:
- Fiduciary & Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of fiduciary principles, OCC regulations, and applicable legal frameworks.
- Asset Management Expertise: Knowledge of real estate management, valuations, environmental risk, and tangible asset oversight.
- Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate complex risks across asset types.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners.
