Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has teamed with several prominent and successful companies in the Jacksonville, FL area to identify Bookkeepers for contract, contract-to-hire and direct hire opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers by reconciling entries
  • Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management
  • Monitor office expenses; tally and enter cash receipts
  • Pay vendor invoices ad track bank account balances
  • Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns along with payroll, operating and business taxes
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account info and trends
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of bookkeeping experience; 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree may be acceptable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite specifically advanced Excel and other large ERP systems
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate, detail-oriented and well-organized
