Job description

A Junior Accountant is an entry-level accounting professional responsible for maintaining financial records, assisting in audits, and supporting senior accountants in day-to-day financial operations, with some experience.

Role and Responsibilities:
A Junior Accountant typically handles day-to-day accounting tasks, including maintaining ledgers, journals, and financial records, processing invoices and payments, managing petty cash, and assisting in budget preparation and monitoring My Sarkari Naukri+1. They may also prepare financial statements such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support internal and external audits.  Responsibilities often include data entry in accounting software like Quickbooks, bank reconciliations, and reporting using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Minimum - an Associate degree and working on a bachelors or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. Vocational training may be accepted.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP), MS Office (especially Excel and Word).  Social media skills needed.
  • Soft Skills: Attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work under supervision or in a team are essential, with enhanced emphasis on organizational skills and filing required.
