Talent Partnerships information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Talent Partnerships, and why are they important?

To excel in Talent Partnerships, you need a solid background in relationship management, contract negotiation, and an understanding of branding and influencer marketing, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with CRM systems, influencer marketing platforms, and data analytics tools is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, creativity, and strategic thinking help professionals build strong, mutually beneficial partnerships. These abilities are crucial for driving successful collaborations, maximizing value for both talent and organizations, and ensuring long-term partnership growth.

What are Talent Partnerships?

Talent Partnerships refer to roles or functions within companies, agencies, or organizations that focus on building and managing relationships with creative talent, such as artists, influencers, actors, or athletes. Professionals in Talent Partnerships work to identify, recruit, and collaborate with talent to achieve business objectives, such as brand campaigns, content creation, or event appearances. They act as liaisons between the talent and the organization, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships. This role often requires strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

What is the difference between Talent Partnerships vs Talent Acquisition?

AspectTalent PartnershipsTalent Acquisition
Primary FocusBuilding long-term relationships with talent pools and partnersSourcing and hiring candidates for specific roles
Work EnvironmentStrategic, collaborative, often involves external partnersOperational, candidate-focused, often in HR or recruiting teams
Required CredentialsHR or recruiting experience, relationship management skillsHR, recruiting certifications, or related experience

While Talent Partnerships focus on developing ongoing relationships and strategic talent pipelines, Talent Acquisition is centered on filling immediate job openings through sourcing and hiring. Both roles are essential in talent management but serve different stages of the hiring process.

How does the Talent Partnerships role typically collaborate with internal teams and external partners?

Professionals in Talent Partnerships frequently act as liaisons between internal departments—such as marketing, content, and legal—and external partners like influencers, talent agencies, and brand representatives. A typical week involves coordinating campaign deliverables, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that both the company’s and the talent’s goals are aligned. Success in the role relies on strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously. This collaborative environment fosters cross-functional teamwork and provides exposure to various aspects of the business, which can open doors for career growth in brand partnerships, business development, or talent management.

Job description

Are you passionate about connecting people to purpose? Do you love building relationships, creating exceptional candidate experiences, and helping teams find the right talent to thrive? We're looking for a Talent Partner to join our Human Resources team and play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end-to-end hiring and onboarding experience across our conservation-focused properties. This is more than recruiting - it's about being a trusted partner, a brand ambassador, and a champion for people and culture.

What You Will Do as a Talent Partner
As a Talent Partner, you'll manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple Foundation properties, partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and deliver a positive, mission-aligned candidate experience. You'll screen candidates, coordinate interviews, support hiring decisions, and manage hiring systems, compliance requirements, and offer preparation. You'll also play a key role in onboarding by coordinating orientations, leading welcome communications, and supporting new hires and leaders through the first 90 days. Throughout the process, you'll help maintain job documentation, improve recruiting and onboarding practices, and serve as a trusted HR partner who supports people, culture, and engagement.
