Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the HR and Talent Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for delivering recruiting support for the organization’s talent needs, creating a strong pipeline for our company’s current and future hiring needs, including support for international hiring initiatives, and taking a lead role in developing an impactful recruitment strategy and employer brand to strengthen talent attraction efforts.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for diverse and complex roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and background checks.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines through career fairs, industry networks, direct outreach, resume screening, phone interviews, and proactive candidate pool management for current and future hiring needs.
  • Manage job advertisements across multiple platforms in alignment with employer branding guidelines.
  • Conduct interviews and support hiring managers with feedback consolidation, candidate selection and tracking to ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Prepare offer letters, employment documentation and support the onboarding process in collaboration with the HR team, to ensure timely and consistent candidate communication throughout the process.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities such as background checks, documentation, orientation sessions, and employee file creation.
  • Manage recruitment administration in ATS and HRIS systems, including data entry, candidate tracking, documentation management, reporting accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions, recruitment templates, and process documentation, while standardizing and improving recruitment workflows and administrative practices.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for recruitment-related inquiries and build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop, analyze, and present recruitment metrics and dashboards, while identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, efficiency gains, and KPI improvement.
  • Participate in recruitment events, conferences, job fairs, and cross-functional HR projects as needed.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in talent acquisition including exposure to complex or international hiring within the aerospace industry or other related industries.
  • Bachelor’s in human resources or equivalent experience and Diploma in Human Resources Management.
  • A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CHRP), an asset
  • Proven experience recruiting across multiple geographies or business units, ideally in technical or specialized environments
  • Strong experience with ATS, HRIS, and advanced sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.)

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Bilingual- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers;
  • Strong communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills; must be able to quickly engage discussions and build relationships.
  • Ability to work at all levels of the organization; sourcing for junior and senior roles.
  • Ability to handle issues in a tactful and confidential manner.
  • Ability to work at the speed of the business and meet tight deadlines under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service;
  • Ability to prioritize activities in relation to evolving business needs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
