Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Work with residents to improve their mobility, strength, and physical function.
  • Help residents recover from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses by providing physical therapy exercises and techniques.
  • Support residents in improving their balance, coordination, and functional mobility to regain independence.
  • Monitor and report progress to the supervising Physical Therapist and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate residents and their families on mobility strategies, injury prevention, and rehabilitation exercises.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure holistic care.
  • Participate in care planning meetings to discuss resident progress and adjust therapy goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments, progress, and documentation to meet healthcare regulations.
