The Position concerns the ALAM Engineering & Projects department in charge of developing solutions for ALAM Precursors, design and execute projects. Investment amounts are generally between a few 100k to 50m$ and mainly located in USA, Taiwan and South Korea.
The position is a Direct report to the Head of Engineering & Project

Salary Range $196,514 - $245,643
Bonus: Paid annually
Travel: Up to 30% based on business needs
Work schedule: Hybrid 3 - 2
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Supervise the 3 competences centers of ALAM Engineering & Projects: Mechanical, A&C (Automation and Control) and Process team.
  • Directly manage 25-30 resources and direct line management of dotted line discipline lead management of 5-10 resources in Asia (Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Japan). Aptitude to expand reach beyond incumbent countries as Semiconductor Materials globalize.
  • The resources are allocated to Capital projects executed by the project management Team under local responsibilities.
  • Acting as Overall Design Authority for all projects managed by Engineering & Project department
  • Drives the Safety and Performance culture defined by Air Liquide
  • Responsible for establishing industry standard best practices across multiple global geographies.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining engineering standards used during project design and execution globally.
  • Responsible for coordinating with other design disciplines for the efficient development, transfer and implementation of project requirements detailed on upstream documentation such as the P&ID.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with internal engineering project execution standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining sufficient resources both internal and external to meet the needs of both capital projects and operational support. Globally manages resources across geographies including systems for remote support.
  • Requires significant creativity and leadership through problem solving
  • 30% travel required mostly to company sites
  • Successfully completes all assigned trainings, and monitors the timely completion of training requirements of all direct reports

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in industrial gases and Chemical industries
  • International Senior Expert qualification in the Air Liquide TCL system
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a rapid-growth environment
  • Trained in standard procedures for safe gas and chemical handling
  • Chemical plant operation and /or engineering department experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Team player with leadership abilities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure and continuously changing priorities
