Role:
Status board primary responsibilities are to provide clear communication between all departments. Answering phone calls in a courteous and friendly manner with guest and employees.
Responsibilities:
  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts in proper uniform, including nametags.
  • Review received emails on Microsoft outlook and send reports.
  • Run reports such as late checkouts, out of service, early outs, awaiting inspection and rooms under shampoo.
  • Check the occupancy of the day.
  • Prepare Runners, House person, utility's, GRA's and inspectors paperwork.
  • Inform management/ supervisor of uncovered rooms of the day.
  • Keep a call log of every call received and what action was taken.
  • Answer telephone calls, respond to questions and handle requests from internal and external guests; dispatch in timely manner.
  • Continually check for unassigned rooms throughout the shift
  • Monitor Guest Room Attendant credits and if short assign open rooms
  • Monitor awaiting inspections and alert inspector as needed
  • Communicate with Front Desk team to resolve any room discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of deep clean rooms
  • Print out next day arrival report and calculate the amount of employees needed for the next day.
  • Input maintenance work orders on corner stone
  • Follow up with maintenance and verify call was complete
  • Log employee call offs
  • Update room status throughout shift on Cornerstone
  • Collect/ distribute keys and radios
  • Resolve and notify management of issues/complaints
  • Inform Manager or Supervisor on room to prepare for VIP arrivals and special projects.
  • Performs clerical duties such as typing filing and computer inputs.
  • Keep copies of status, runner, room change, & key log sheets
  • End of each shift needs to prepare an email that included changes and updates that happened through the shift
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule according to the occupancy levels

Requirements
  • Must have effective oral and written English communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge on handling devices and radios.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Ability to operate copier, fax and scanner.
  • Ability to handle a multiple phone lines.
  • Ability to use computers and software applications related to assigned task
  • Ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
  • Have an excellent customer service, sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Be able to take clear messages and deal with upset customers.
  • Have phone and radio etiquette.
  • Have a hospitable personality, team oriented, and enjoys working with and serving people.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, holiday and weekends.
  • At least 18 years of age.
