Our summer activities are fun and engaging, our magical mermaids swim through property multiple times a week and on the weekends we feature traditional Hawaiian Luaus parties bringing island vibes and live entertainment to our Ohana. Guests can also pamper themselves at the Mahana Spa or grab a bite and drinks at 17 South Booze & Bites featuring limited gaming.


ROLE:

The primary responsibility of the lifeguard is to provide a safe environment while providing quality guest service. All duties reflect the property policies and procedures as they relate to Pool Operations. Lifeguards will also participate in in-services and all assigned company training.ย ย ย ย 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains active surveillance of the pool area.ย ย 
  • Responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with Tahiti Village policies and procedures; completes related reports as required.
  • Responds to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner.
  • Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
  • Remains calm and objective when under pressure or when challenged by others.
  • Performs all secondary duties in a timely manner as required for each shift.ย 
  • Performs all lifeguard duties, including ability to lift people out of pool, perform CPR, scan pool to ensure safety of participants.
  • Maintains accurate records as required by Tahiti Village and/or the state health department code.
  • Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed.
  • Checks the pool for hazardous conditions when arriving and for the duration of the shift.
  • Attends Staff meetings and training courses as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Must have basic math skills and aptitude.
  • Must have a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Clark County or Red Cross Certified Lifeguard (a plus) or company will certify you
