A systems technician is an information technology specialist whose duties are to provide training, quality assurance, maintenance, and troubleshooting for network systems. In this job, you help users analyze and resolve technical problems, oversee administrative security for networks, and prepare computer systems and networks for users. Qualifications for a career as a systems technician include an associate degree or bachelor’s in IT or a related field, excellent analytical problem-solving and verbal communication skills, and experience working as part of an IT team.
