Job description

Responsibilities

Charged with working with the project stakeholders and end users to elicit, understand, analyze, and document the requirements for a system to solve a given business problem. Documents, analyzes, and reviews software requirements for a large software development team responsible for development, testing, installation, customer interface and O&M activities for several applications supporting the classification of data and documents. Responsible for interfacing with multiple stakeholders to assess and understand the requirements to ensure that user stories are consistent and applicable across all products. Responsible for overseeing functional and non-functional requirements for multiple products within the project team. The primary duties include managing and verifying requirements; capturing detailed descriptions of user needs and product functionality; and ensuring the project team has clear, consistent, and testable requirements documented in user stories and completion criteria. Reconciles conflicts; decomposes high-level information into the appropriate level of detail for team members; and participates in peer reviews of requirements documentation.

What you'll do:

  • Work with mission partners to gather operational technology needs and document those needs into actionable requirements. This will require understanding of various technologies and continuous communication between several stakeholders.
  • Prepare requirements for development teams to assist in future product development.
  • Communicate technology updates to the mission partners and ensure their future needs are being accurately addressed through requirements generation and tracking.
  • Be the focal point for multiple mission requirement requests.
  • Provide feedback to design engineers and evaluate end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
  • Working as expert, address technical questions and provide feedback on products that are being developed to ensure capabilities meet the upcoming strategic operational needs.
  • Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements. This includes reviews of test plans/procedures and ensuring requirements verification/validation.
  • Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials.
  • Attend product demos
  • Support general meeting facilitation, note taking, and follow-up, etc.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. An additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Clearance: TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
  • Technical Operations experience
  • Prior experience and fundamental knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle
  • Requirements solicitation, writing, and tracking experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of various technologies (RF, internet, mobile, etc.)
  • Previous CONOPS development
  • Experience using Confluence

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
