Working in a Data Center Experience with Cisco UCS Hardware, VMware, Microsoft Windows.
Knowledge EMC Storage or some sort of Storage exp, CommVault is a plus. Some lifting and running cables
Job Summary:
Systems
Engineer will have strong capabilities in troubleshooting, systems
selection, and design, as well as the ability to help define solutions
to meet business needs, helping to provide technical oversight,
planning, and implementation across multiple sites.
This role will be part of a technically complex network and server
environment that will present challenges and opportunities for the team.
Job Description:
Position
primarily focused on design and implementation of server and storage
technologies within the data center. Review and documentation of current
data center utilization and planning to meet capacity requirements for
the infrastructure project pipeline.
Responsible for service requests, incidents, and problem resolution of data center and server and storage technology platforms.
Experience:
Candidate
will have experience working within the data center completing cable
run, rack/stack, and documentation of hardware installs.
Full life cycle management of data center hardware including the
creation and continuous update of data center documentation and diagrams
for data center layout, rack, cabling, and core infrastructure.
Broad knowledge of server and storage technologies including Cisco UCS,
EMC Storage, VMware, Quantum libraries, Windows, and Linux. Experience
architecting high available and disaster recovery solutions for server
and storage infrastructure.
