Job Summary
We are looking for a Camera Solutions Engineer who will act as the technical bridge between the camera architecture team and the camera firmware team. This role is critical in translating camera system requirements into firmware implementation, validation, and tuning workflows. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across optics, sensors, ISP, firmware, and automation, and thrives in a hands on, cross functional environment.
Job Description
The Camera Solutions Engineer will work closely with camera architects, firmware engineers, and validation teams to ensure camera features and performance targets are successfully delivered from concept through production. This role combines system level understanding with practical execution, including test automation, debug, and performance validation. Experience with camera tuning and camera drivers is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary technical interface between camera architecture and camera firmware teams
• Translate camera system requirements into firmware execution and validation plans
• Support camera bring up, debug, and performance analysis across multiple platforms
• Develop and maintain Python based automation frameworks for camera testing and validation
• Assist with camera tuning workflows including image quality evaluation and parameter optimization
• Collaborate with firmware teams on camera driver behavior, integration, and issue resolution
• Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to architecture and firmware stakeholders
• Contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement of camera development processes
Education & Experience Recommended
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience working with camera systems, imaging pipelines, or embedded platforms
• Experience working in cross functional engineering teams delivering complex camera features
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong understanding of camera system architecture including sensors, optics, ISP, and firmware interaction
• Hands on experience with camera tuning is a strong plus
• Experience with camera drivers or low level camera bring up is a significant advantage
• Background in test automation and validation methodologies
• Experience with Python for automation, tooling, and data analysis
• Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development workflows
• Strong debugging, problem solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have
• Experience with video conferencing cameras, multi camera systems, or AI assisted imaging
• Exposure to image quality metrics, subjective evaluation, and lab based testing
• Experience working with hardware bring up, sensor characterization, or ISP configuration
