Network Access Control Engineer for BYOD Devices


On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a NAC Engineer for a contract opportunity. We would prefer this resource be based in Durham, NC, but will also consider qualified individuals in Dallas, TX.


Network Access Control Engineer Job Details


We are looking for a Mid Level Engineer supporting BYOD Devices with the MIS Group in our Durham, NC location. BYOD refers to Bring Your Own Devices. This is the policy of permitting employees to bring personally owned mobile devices (laptops, tablets, and smart phones) to their workplace, and to use those devices to access privileged company information and applications.


Responsible for the following items with regard to the NAC security tool:


- Working in a professional manner with all members of the security team and other towers/departments


- Reporting to client during weekly touchpoints any updates with regard to the tool


- Attending meetings as requested by management, client, or other supporting towers/departments


- Troubleshooting any issues during the normal course of business through ticketing system


- Participating in any incidents associated with the tool and troubleshooting in real time on incident calls


Ongoing and routine work expected to be executed includes:


- Routine report delivery to client


- Any changes to reporting as requested and agreed upon with client


- Maintaining N-1 (minimum) software/firmware client requirements


- Deployment of any changes, plug-ins, or configuration as requested by client



Network Access Control Engineer Mandatory Skills


- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related experience (5+ years in formalized IT department)


- Experience with Network Access Control technologies


- Strong understanding of networking protocols used in configuration of switches/routers/firewalls


- Experience in implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting network and security infrastructure and tools


NAC technologies/ForeScout CounterACT - Need someone experienced on the tool. Sr. Level position - This is not a Desktop Support Role!


- Professional certifications taken into consideration but not required **Preferred location is Durham - will consider candidates in Dallas
