Job description

Lead telecom design for EPC oil & gas upstream projects. Data networks, PABX, radio, VSAT, CCTV, PAGA, structured cabling and security systems.

Experience: 10-15 years (12 to 15 Years)

What You Will Do
  • Preparation of Deliverables (MTO, Datasheets, Specifications, Equipment Layouts, Cable routing etc) and other Project related Design documents in compliance with Project.
  • Review Contractor's deliverables as required and ensure all Contractor's engineering and design work performed meets contractual obligations, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate with the project team and with other Engineering functions, as well as with clients, as required, to develop/finalise design specifications to meet their project needs with the ability to interpret Client specifications.
  • Must have ability to analyse customer requirement, respond to technical queries, review concept engineering, FEED and detailed engineering deliverables for telecom systems conforming to local regulations, project specification and international codes and standards.
  • Reviewing the design and in producing engineering deliverables for IT/Telecommunication systems like Data Networks (LAN/WAN/WLAN), Telephone / PABX System, Radio System (TETRA / UHF / VHF), Microwave Transmission System, VSAT, Telecommunication Supervisory System (TSS), Entertainment System, FTTH, Outside Plant (OSP) Cabling System, Structured Cabling System (SCS) and Meteorological systems.
  • Reviewing and producing design and engineering deliverables for Security Systems like CCTV System, Access Control System, Perimeter Intrusion Detection System, Radar System and Long-Range Surveillance Systems.
  • Review of Engineering documentation including System Specification, datasheets, study reports, design calculations (power consumption, heat dissipation, weight estimation, FO link budget etc) and bill of materials as per the client requirement.
  • Reviewing and producing Telecoms systems studies such as PAGA coverage study, radio coverage study, CCTV coverage study, VSAT link calculation etc.
  • Experience in Detailed Design & FEED Engineering for Telecom systems like Fiber Optics, Structured cabling, CCTV, Telephony, PIDS, PAGA, ACS.
  • Provide Inter discipline inputs to other disciplines like Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil.
  • Procurement related work such as performing Contractors and/or Vendors Technical Bid Evaluations as required in conjunction with the senior and lead engineers.
  • Able to effectively communicate technical issues to peers and line manager (written and verbal) and hold presentations to project senior and lead, as well as to Clients when required.
