Salary Range: $121,000 - 138,000
Relocation incentive may be available based on eligibility.

AFOSI is hiring a Systems Operations Manager at Quantico, Virginia. This fast-paced, highly visible role manages implementation and operation of AFOSI worldwide systems and networks, provides guidance on implementation of critical Information Technology services, and serves as the central focal point for on-premises and cloud operational status reporting to AFOSI leadership and elements of the Department of the Air Force cyber enterprise. Mastery knowledge of complex IT systems analysis and applications software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate the feasibility of proposed new systems and applications software projects; and to design, write, test, debug, and maintain information systems and applications software and ensure successful integration with existing and anticipated infrastructure and the database environment
Knowledge of IT system application software and systems development life cycles, including systems documentation, system requirements and techniques, design development, configuration management, cost benefit analysis, systems analysis, unprecedented design methodologies, data administration, systems integration, and testing
Mastery knowledge of IT management information systems and applications software technology to isolate causes of problems between hardware, system, and applications software programs and to measure system performance and/or extend operating system capabilities to support related mission activities
Knowledge of a wide range of IT management information and applications software development and analysis techniques, requirements, methods, sources, and procedures, including familiarity with approaches used by organizations in other agencies and/or the private sector to accomplish a variety of assignments designed to provide organizations with improved business practices
Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance
(IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the
appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six month requirement
may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3.
Desired Experience: Administration of Red Hat and other Linux systems, on-premise and in the cloud; administration of virtualization software; administration of backup software and systems, on-premise and in the cloud; administration and maintenance of Cisco networking devices and systems; preparation of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans and Continuity of Operations planning
