Job description

LOCATION: Annapolis Junction, MD | Monday thru Friday

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.

Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.

Aid users in accessing and using IT systems.

Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

EXPERIENCE

Three (3) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Experience with RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, SLES, and Ubuntu.

OS Installation, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, operating system application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install.

Understanding HPC architecture, knowledge about high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot.

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, and Ansible.

Good troubleshooting skills.

REQUIREMENTS

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

IAT Level II Certification Required.

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Salary:

The likely salary range is up to $122K. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
