Position Summary
Summit 7 Systems is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Azure Consultant to join our Professional Services team.
As a member of our Azure teams, this person would be responsible for executing Azure deployments, Azure Virtual Desktop deployments, and DUO MFA configurations.
The ideal candidate for the role will possess deep knowledge and proficiencies with Azure Gov, a broad skillset across other Microsoft 365 technologies, and the ability to communicate and lead customers effectively in a consulting capacity.
Job Summary
The Azure Consultant is responsible for working within a project management team to deliver and develop custom Azure solutions to Summit 7's customers. The Azure Consultant will serve as the subject matter expert with respect to Azure, cloud applications and system administration.
Essential Functions
  • Participate in the development, customization, and integration efforts of solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure
  • Develop solutions that meet the client's requirements and constraints
  • Attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities
  • Develop Azure designs and implementation plans based on the customer requirements
  • Meet with development heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to seek cooperation and resolve problems
  • Document the design, systems, supervisor, vendors, and others, to seek cooperation and resolve problems
  • Document the design, systems architecture, and change management plans and review the contributions of team members for said plans
  • Implement, or oversee the implementation, of client projects. Provide feedback and guidance to team members when necessary.
  • Provide guidance to team members on developing their personal technical skills and on the implementation of technical solutions

Job Specifications
Required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or MIS from a reputable institute with 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with the following software and technologies: Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business Online, and Azure Active Directory
  • Proficiency in DNS, Active Directory, Intune, Azure Active Directory, Hybrid Exchange, SharePoint or Skype infrastructures and how they integrate with the larger Microsoft collaboration platform
  • Expert knowledge in Azure migrations and implementations
  • Knowledge of Azure networking and infrastructure concepts
  • Knowledge on migrating on-premises applications to Azure PaaS and Azure LaaS
  • Ability to work independently and a strong desire for personal and professional development
  • Resolute dedication to excellent customer service backed by strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of Azure Government

Work Conditions
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. May occasionally need to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these solutions.
