Location: Greater Denver Area amp; Colorado Springs
Pay: Up to $25 per hour (+ $1.00/hour bilingual premium available)
Schedule: 40+ hours per week | May through end of August


Position Summary

Academy Sports Turf, Inc., a TenCate company, is seeking dependable and hardworking Seasonal Field Removal Crew Members to support the demolition and removal of synthetic turf sports fields. This position involves highly strenuous, physically demanding labor, including repetitive heavy lifting, carrying rolled turf, handling dense infill materials, and working outdoors in hot conditions for extended periods. Work is performed around heavy equipment and requires consistent physical stamina and attention to safety.

This is a temporary, project-based role expected to run from May through end of August, with opportunities for overtime based on project needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Remove, bag, and stage infill materials (primarily crumb rubber), often lifting and moving heavy bags
  • Mark, cut, roll, and haul large sections of existing synthetic turf; rolls can be extremely heavy and awkward to maneuver
  • Load, transport, and dispose of debris and materials in accordance with job site requirements
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Follow direction from supervisors and work collaboratively as part of a coordinated crew

Qualifications
  • Ability to perform intensive physical labor for the duration of each shift
  • Capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying heavy materials, including turf rolls, rubber infill bags, and equipment
  • Comfortable working outdoors in hot, dusty, and variable weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing assigned work each day
  • Strong commitment to safety for both self and team members

Compensation amp; Schedule
  • Up to $25 per hour, based on experience
  • Additional $1.00 per hour bilingual premium available for employees who are fluent in both English and Spanish to support effective communication and job site safety
  • Overtime opportunities may be available
  • 40+ hours per week during project duration
  • Seasonal assignment anticipated from May through end of August

Required Work Attire
  • Work pants (jeans recommended; shorts are not permitted)
  • Steel toe work boots
  • Recommended: face covering for windy conditions and sunscreen

Equipment Provided
  • Academy branded safety vests or shirts
  • Academy branded OSHA-compliant hard hats
  • Gloves and eye protection
  • Drinking water provided on all job sites

Additional Requirements
