Switchboard Operator – Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Switchboard Operator to serve as the first point of contact for incoming communications. This role is responsible for efficiently managing and routing calls, supporting internal communication needs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the telephone switchboard and accurately route incoming calls to appropriate personnel
  • Answer calls promptly with professionalism, courtesy, and a customer-first approach
  • Coordinate and set up conference calls for employees
  • Maintain and update telephone system records and employee profiles
  • Perform general clerical and administrative support tasks
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience operating a telephone system preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other business software
