Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Principal duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC Swiss style machine (Dual Spindle Dual Turret). Eurotech Rapido type machines.

  • Running first piece article ready for inspection.

  • Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment.

  • Changing tools and offsets based in cutting conditions.

  • Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.

  • Using proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on work piece metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel etc.

  • Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes.

  • Participating in troubleshooting on CNC programming and production related issues on the shop floor.

  • Other similar or related duties as required.

  • Some post-processing of hardware.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in CNC operation with setup experience.

  • Experience with dual spindle dual turret type of lathe or Swiss machine a plus.

  • Some programming software experience is a plus.

  • General knowledge of GD&T and inspection tools.

  • Minimum High school education or equivalent. Machinist trade certification a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion.

  • Experience with precision inspection tooling (calipers, thread gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, air gauges etc.)

Schedule:
  • Night Shift Schedule is Monday - Friday, 4:30pm - 3:00am

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $22.00- $28.00 per hour. Minimum of Ten (10) hours of over-time available weekly. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

  • Shift premium is 10% for hours worked on 2nd shift.
