Job description

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist with minimum 1 year of experience. Will be responsible for setup and operating a Swiss type Lathe to produce roll-threaded parts. Must be able to interpret aerospace drawing and speciications. Will utilize Fanuc controls. Swiss Lathe/CNC Machinist Set up and operate Swiss-type CNC turning centers, Tsugami brand preferred, in both guide-bushing and chucker-kit (non-guide-bushing) configurations. Program, edit, and troubleshoot on Fanuc controls as applied to Swiss-type lathes (e.g., Fanuc 32i-B series or equivalent Swiss-specific control), including tool offsets, geometry, and main/sub-spindle synchronization. Perform complete machine setups, including guide bushing selection and adjustment, collet and bushing changes, cross/back working tool alignment, gang and turret tooling, and bar feeder or sub-spindle pick-off setup. Create and edit CNC programs using CAM software such as ESPRIT (Swiss-Type module) and/or SolidWorks with SolidCAM for Swiss machining; able to program from 3D CAD models and post-process for Fanuc-controlled Swiss-type platforms. Machine aerospace-grade and other exotic materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel and other nickel alloys, Hastelloy, 17-4PH and high-temperature stainless), accounting for work hardening, tool wear, and thermal expansion. Produce roll-threaded (thread-forming) parts in Swiss configuration, including thread rolling tool/die setup, feed and speed optimization, and inspection of rolled threads (pitch diameter, lead, and thread ring/plug gauging). Read and interpret aerospace-industry drawings and specifications, including GD&T and First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements, and maintain material/process traceability consistent with aerospace quality systems (e.g., AS9100). Diagnose and correct dimensional and surface-finish issues unique to Swiss-type turning, such as chatter, guide bushing wear, and deflection on long or slender parts.
