Main Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclinedindividual to join our team as a Threading Operator. This role is ideal forsomeone recently trained in CNC machining who is eager to apply hands-on skillsin a high-precision manufacturing environment.
The Threading Operator is responsible for the safe,efficient operation, inspection, and basic maintenance of the Threading machines.Candidates with foundational CNC experience - including familiarity withmachine interfaces, tool handling, and basic G-code navigation - will bewell-suited to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the Threading machines in accordance with production and quality standards.
Perform tooling changeouts, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of tools.
Navigate CNC-style machine interfaces to access screens and input adjustments.
Remove and install new or used tools; handle tool prep with basic machinist-level care.
Adjust offsets based on inspection results to maintain product specifications.
Understand and recognize basic G-code for machine operation (no programming required).
Use working knowledge of precision gauges and inspection techniques specific to Threading processes.
Identify flaws in cylinders through inspection and quality control procedures.
Complete accurate written production and inspection reports.
Follow established procedures for machine setup and operation.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, including tool and equipment cleanup.
Buff cylinders and perform minor maintenance as needed.
Cross-train and provide backup support in departments such as Heat Treat and ID Blast.
Qualifications
Recent graduate or certificate holder from a technical or trade school with CNC training preferred.
Familiar with CNC mill work and basic machining operations.
Comfortable interacting with machine interfaces and screens to manage tool offsets.
Understanding of tool prep, inspection, and safe handling techniques.
Working knowledge of gauges used in Goss inspection and general quality control.
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and setup procedures.
Strong attention to detail with ability to complete accurate written documentation.
Prior experience with Goss or similar industrial CNC machinery is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for detailed inspection work.
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment (exposure to heat, noise, and industrial conditions).
