This remote position offers the flexibility of working from home while being an integral part of a supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will utilize teletherapy tools and technologies to conduct counseling sessions, group therapy, and staff meetings, ensuring a seamless delivery of care to clients who may not have access to on-site services.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, identifying their needs, goals, and support systems.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, ensuring that each patient's unique circumstances are addressed.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using approaches such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster a supportive healing environment.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and various community resources to provide a holistic approach to treatment.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring swift and effective responses to patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families on addiction recovery strategies, personalized coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Actively engage in professional development activities, including team meetings and case consultations to enhance therapeutic practices.
• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices around substance use disorder treatment to integrate new strategies into therapeutic practices.

This role is dedicated to serving individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, drugs, and prescription medication abuse. The therapist will provide essential support, guidance, and education to equip these individuals and their families with the tools necessary for sustainable recovery.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery-oriented care, along with evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proven experience delivering individual and group therapy focused on addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting empathy and a non-judgmental demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain professional boundaries, follow ethical guidelines, and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience working specifically in substance abuse treatment settings or addiction recovery programs preferred.
• Familiarity with additional evidence-based practices, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), is a plus.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, plus potential bonuses based on performance. A sign-on bonus is also available to selected candidates.
