Overview

LMI is seeking a Systems Engineer Analyst to support DoD enterprise IT modernization initiatives focused on logistics, sustainment, and operational mission environments. As part of a collaborative requirements and testing team, this role supports systems engineering, requirements development, enterprise architecture, and verification and validation activities across the engineering lifecycle. The candidate will work within Agile and SAFe environments to help translate operational needs into actionable technical requirements while supporting architecture development, traceability, testing, and systems integration efforts aligned with mission objectives. This individual will collaborate closely with Government stakeholders, engineers, architects, developers, and test teams to provide disciplined engineering support, technical analysis, and problem solving across complex DoD enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Support requirements engineering, systems engineering, and test activities for enterprise IT modernization initiatives supporting DoD logistics, sustainment, and operational mission environments.
  • Support Government requirements and testing teams in the development, analysis, documentation, traceability, verification, and validation of system requirements across the systems engineering lifecycle and engineering V-model.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of enterprise architecture artifacts, operational views, system views, interface definitions, and capability mappings using DoDAF methodologies and standards to support requirements analysis and system testing activities.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders, functional SMEs, developers, architects, modelers, and test teams to gather, analyze, and document business, operational, and technical requirements.
  • Participate in requirements elicitation sessions, stakeholder working groups, test planning discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering coordination meetings supporting enterprise IT capabilities and modernization efforts.
  • Support development and execution of verification and validation activities including requirements traceability, test case development, test procedure support, defect tracking, and assessment of system performance against defined requirements.
  • Assist in development of systems engineering documentation, JCIDS-related documentation, test documentation, architecture products, technical analyses, and engineering recommendations.
  • Support traceability and alignment between operational requirements, enterprise architecture products, implementation activities, and testing efforts.
  • Conduct business process analysis and workflow modeling to support identification of capability gaps, operational improvements, and modernization opportunities.
  • Support Agile and SAFe-based delivery activities by coordinating requirements, testing, and engineering support activities across cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with preparation of technical briefings, reports, presentations, and decision-support materials for Government leadership and program stakeholders.
  • Support coordination and integration activities across organizational and technical boundaries within DoD enterprise environments.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering, Test Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or IT Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise IT applications.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting requirements development, verification and validation activities, enterprise architecture development, or systems engineering activities for enterprise IT systems.
  • Experience supporting requirements management, requirements traceability, system verification, testing activities, or business process analysis efforts.
  • Experience developing or supporting DoDAF architecture products and/or DoD systems engineering documentation.
  • Experience supporting development of JCIDS, capability, requirements, test, or related DoD engineering documentation.
  • Familiarity with the systems engineering lifecycle, engineering V-model, requirements management, verification and validation processes, and enterprise architecture methodologies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts and DoDAF frameworks sufficient to support requirements analysis and system testing activities.
  • Experience working within Agile or SAFe delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment supporting multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Active SECRET security clearance required; must be a U.S. citizen.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD organizations and enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience supporting DoD developmental test, operational test, verification, or validation activities.
  • Familiarity with DoD test processes, engineering reviews, and associated technical documentation.
  • Experience with requirements management tools, enterprise architecture tools, systems modeling tools, or test management platforms.
  • Familiarity with logistics, sustainment, or enterprise asset management systems within DoD environments.
  • Experience supporting Navy or other military service organizations.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies and digital engineering environments.

The target salary range for this position goes up to $170,000.
