We supply wholesalers, exporters, manufacturers, contractors, house flippers, and property managers as well as homeowners both locally and worldwide with this high-quality product to meet their HVAC needs. Whether customers purchase in-person from one of our wholesale showrooms or order online and have their items shipped, we strive to offer friendly and efficient customer service to match our inventory with our customer's needs.

Job Brief
The Director of Value Chain will oversee all purchasing functions, negotiate pricing on surplus/overstock purchases, build relationships with additional inventory sources, and help set final sell pricing. This role also interfaces significantly with CFO/COO along with the Founder of the business who has held this role since inception.
Responsibilities
  • Engaged with supply partners and pursuing inventory deals
  • Creating a systematic approach to inventory acquisition
  • Building a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) tool that indicates all relevant metrics of the relationship
  • Defines the needs of the Value Chain organization and creates the structure to deliver
  • Partner in any future ERP assessment the organization may conduct
  • Develop vendor scorecards to be used internally at roll out
  • Partner to CFO, Ops, and Sales on acquisition of inventory most critical in need
  • Strategic mindset on pursuit of inventory
  • Travel is less than 15% of this role, but ability to travel to vendor sites and trade shows is required
  • Willingness to learn and be guided by Founder of business and best practices developed over 40 years

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or the equivalent in related work experience, MBA a plus
  • 5+ years experience in HVAC, either manufacturing or distribution Value Chain
  • 3+ years experience in Value Chain/Supply Chain roles
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Working knowledge and exposure to forecast, sales, and operational planning system and tools
  • Strong PC skills (MS Suite), including proficiency in Excel
  • Experience developing collaborative partnerships at all levels of an organization, internal and external
  • Excellent communication, internal customer service, and organizational skills
  • Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive for results with minimal direct supervision
  • Sit for extended periods of time in an office setting
  • Travel to vendor sites and trade shows as required
  • Work on a computer for extended periods of time
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently
  • Efficiently navigate various computer systems
