Job description

Electrical Engineer (PE) - MEP Join an established, employee-owned MEP engineering firm with a long-standing presence across Florida and the Southeast. This role offers the opportunity to take a lead position on building systems projects while working in a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, stability, and long-term career growth. Responsibilities • Lead electrical engineering design for commercial and institutional building projects, including medium-voltage systems • Coordinate with internal MEP, fire protection, technology disciplines, and external architectural teams • Manage project schedules, scope, and client communication • Lead and participate in project meetings with internal staff and external partners • Oversee design execution and support the development of junior engineers and designers • Prepare construction documentation compliant with National Electrical Code (NEC) and Florida Building Code • Contribute to lighting design, standby and emergency power systems, surge protection, and related electrical systems • Balance multiple active projects while maintaining quality and responsiveness Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain Florida PE within 12 months • 8-12 years of experience in MEP building systems design • Strong background in lighting design, medium-voltage distribution, standby power, and surge protection • Demonstrated project management and client-facing experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to lead coordination meetings and collaborate across disciplines • Strong Revit proficiency required Employee Ownership This is an employee-owned firm.
