About the Role

  • We are seeking compassionate and experienced Direct Support Professionals to work with individuals experiencing intellectual disabilities. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while fostering independence and life skills in individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, cooking, cleaning and personal hygiene.
  • Support individuals in accessing and participating in community activities, and recreation.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, shopping, or social outings as needed.
  • Encourage skill-building for community engagement (e.g., money management, transportation use, social interaction).
  • Implement and document individualized support plans and goals (ISP outcomes).
  • Teach and reinforce skills that promote independence, such as cooking, budgeting, and personal safety.
  • Support communication and self-advocacy efforts.
  • Report any incidents, changes in condition, or concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Clearance of background check
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
