Schedule: 40 Hours | 6:30am-3:00pm | Monday-Friday with every third weekend rotation
Shift Premiums: Weekend (Friday 10:31pm-Sun 11:00pm) - $1.00
Department: EVS Department | Chelsea Retirement Community | Chelsea, MI
What You'll Do in This Role: 
As a Facility Support Personnel team member supporting our Wellness Center, you’ll play an important role in helping residents stay active and engaged. In this position, you’ll help maintain fitness areas, equipment, and surrounding spaces so residents can enjoy a comfortable and well-kept environment. We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented team member who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and is committed to keeping our community running smoothly while supporting the health and wellness of those we serve. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Ensure the facility equipment is working properly. 
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and deodorizes carpets. 
  • Cleans dining rooms and common areas. 
  • Clean restrooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the day.
  • Empty trash bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with department procedures.
  • Assist in cleaning windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events or meetings.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facility Support Manager. 
  • Assist with inventory management by organizing and restocking cleaning supplies.
  • Complete work orders timely through an electronic portal system.
  • Assist with room moves including furniture, clothing, and other personal items.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 1 year of experience in custodial work, required.
  • Valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license, required.
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance work, preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED
