Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the Supply Chain team, responsible for executing all aspects of the Global Supply Chain Mission for the Survivability Production Programs Operating Unit (SPP) under the Mission Survivability System (MSS) Business Unit. The individual will serve as a Supply Chain Program Manager (M1) for the Operating Unit and will be responsible for the full spectrum of Supply Chain to include proposal, program execution and subcontracts management, as well as development, mentoring, coaching and engagement of the team. This leadership position will be located onsite at our facility in Rolling Meadows, IL.

What you get to do:
  • Responsible for mission success of the entire Operating Unit supply chain by ensuring performance to the committed schedules, budgets, terms, conditions and requirements of the program.

  • Responsible for all phases of the supply chain effort from the initiation of the supplier strategy and proposal phase through negotiation, award and management of supplier activities to meet program objectives.

  • Lead teams responsible for the cost, schedule and performance of suppliers for the operating unit.

  • Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies.

  • Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.

  • Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance.

Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years in supplier/subcontracts management, program management, manufacturing, contracts, business management and/or related field.

  • 1+ year of proven leadership track record in people leadership or management role.

  • Experience with earned value management systems.

  • Experience with SAP and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • US Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain government security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:
  • BS and Master's Degree in Supply Chain or related field.

  • Previous experience in large electronics production programs, US Government or Aerospace company.

  • Previous experience working sustainment programs.

  • Experience with Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR and FAR.

  • Demonstrated experience with supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product scheduling.

  • Demonstrated experience with developing complex agreements such as long term pricing agreements, teaming

agreements, strategic alliances, MOA's, overriding Terms and Conditions, claims and settlements.

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex supplier specifications, drawings, SOW's and supplier issue resolution.

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,500.00 - $173,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
