Position Title: Director of Dining Services

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

Job Summary
Restaurant Associates is seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Director of Dining Services to lead dining and catering operations for a prestigious law firm in Washington, DC. This role oversees a high-touch corporate dining program serving a professional client population in a fast-paced environment with significant managed volume.
 
Operating Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend events, the Director will provide leadership across dining, hospitality, and catering services while fostering strong client relationships and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate brings a passion for hospitality, proven operational leadership, strong financial acumen, and a commitment to delivering innovative food and service solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the dining and hospitality program, ensuring a consistently exceptional guest experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, customers, and business partners.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for a team of associates, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop menus and deliver high-quality food and hospitality experiences.
  • Oversee catering operations, ensuring flawless execution of meetings, events, and special functions.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and overall account profitability.
  • Analyze operational results and identify opportunities to enhance service, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the implementation of new culinary, hospitality, and service initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational best practices.
  • Lead client engagement efforts, including feedback programs and ongoing relationship management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to maintain a seamless and elevated workplace dining experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience leading foodservice, hospitality, corporate dining, hotel, restaurant, or catering operations.
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and support diverse teams.
  • Experience overseeing financial performance, budgeting, and operational planning.
  • Knowledge of foodservice operations, hospitality trends, and guest experience best practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a client-facing environment where responsiveness and professionalism are essential.
  • Passion for creating memorable dining experiences and building long-term client partnerships.
  • Comfort using business technology, including Microsoft Office applications and email platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in corporate dining, law firm dining, upscale hospitality, or workplace foodservice environments.
  • High-volume dining and catering leadership experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and account performance.
  • Understanding of hospitality innovation, workplace dining trends, and premium service delivery.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and advance within a leading hospitality organization.
