Essential Function:
The Adjunct Instructor will teach the Illinois 45-Hour Managing Broker Pre-License course in accordance with Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requirements and Triton College Continuing Education standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active Illinois Managing Broker License in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Managing Broker or supervising broker
  • Strong knowledge of Illinois real estate law and brokerage operations
  • Ability to teach adult learners in a classroom or hybrid format

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior teaching or training experience (Continuing Education or pre-licensing preferred)
  • Experience supervising brokers, managing transactions, and operating a brokerage
  • Familiarity with IDFPR education requirements and licensing exam preparation
  • Experience using instructional technology or online learning platforms

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
  • Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with Illinois Managing Broker licensing objectives.
  • Maintain current Illinois Managing Broker license and stay up to date with real estate laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Prepare and teach course content covering brokerage operations, supervision, agency, contracts, risk management, and Illinois real estate law.
  • Develop and distribute a course syllabus aligned with approved curriculum and state requirements.
  • Submit attendance, grade reports, and required documentation by established deadlines.
  • Provide guidance to students regarding licensing, career pathways, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Utilize instructional technology and active learning strategies to support student success
  • Maintain professional communication with students, program staff, and Continuing Education leadership.
  • Participate in curriculum updates, textbook selection, and course assessment as needed.
  • Conduct classes as scheduled and comply with Triton College policies and procedures.
