Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Meat Packer/Wrapper to join our team in Roxbury, MA. The Meat Clerk is responsible for assisting customers at the meat counter, cutting, wrapping, pricing, and displaying fresh meat products. This role supports department operations by maintaining high standards for product quality, cleanliness, and food safety

Responsibilities
  • Experience as a meat packer and wrapper preferred.
  • Detail oriented with strong attention to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining product standards.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Assist customers with questions, special orders, and meat selections
  • Weigh, wrap, price, and label meat and seafood products accurately
  • Stock and rotate meat cases with fresh, appealing cuts of meat
  • Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the meat prep and service areas
  • Use knives, slicers, grinders, and saws to cut, trim, and prepare meat
  • Follow all food safety standards, especially for raw meat handling
  • Monitor product freshness and remove outdated or spoiled item
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily sales and merchandising goal
