Occupational Therapist

Location: 5050 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH 45227 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Summers Off! 
Pay: $63,000–$67,000 annually

About the Role

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and help students build the skills they need to participate, learn, and thrive in their educational environment.

This school-based position focuses on supporting students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, behavioral regulation, activities of daily living (ADLs/IADLs), classroom participation, and functional living skills.

As an Occupational Therapist at Best Point, you'll have the opportunity to provide individualized and small-group therapy while working closely with teachers, families, administrators, behavior support staff, and other related service providers. You'll conduct evaluations, develop student-centered treatment plans, implement IEP/504 goals, and help students generalize skills across academic and real-world settings.

Qualifications

  • CurrentODE 5-Year Pupil Services License or ODE Registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Ohio schools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Ohio Occupational Therapist license through the OTPTAT Board.
  • NBCOT certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, including students with autism and behavioral or communication challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.

Compensation & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

Direct Student Services

  • Provide individualized and small-group occupational therapy interventions based on student needs.
  • Implement occupational therapy services aligned with IEP and 504 goals.
  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
  • Support development of fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, functional living, and classroom participation skills.
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches, including Structured Teaching, behavioral interventions, and CPI de-escalation techniques.
  • Serve as a positive role model for social skills, self-care, independence, and emotional regulation.
