Job description

About Airloom Energy
Airloom Energy is building the next era of resilient, utility-scale power. Our patented wind generation system replaces massive traditional turbines with a low-profile, roller-coaster-style track that uses small, adjustable wings to capture wind energy more efficiently, at lower cost, and in a fraction of the time. By dramatically reducing parts, mass, and construction timelines, Airloom is unlocking faster, more scalable clean energy deployment-designed to respect the land, the views, and the communities we serve. With headquarters in Laramie, Wyoming and a pilot system underway near Rock River, we're assembling a team to help bring this breakthrough technology to global scale.
Position/Company Value Proposition:
You will use your expertise in embedded principles and experience designing complex systems for aerospace and industrial applications to be a leader in the design of a utility-scale plant to demonstrate the scalability and cost effectiveness of Airloom's novel approach to wind energy generation.
Position Key Skills:
  • System Development: Design and develop electrical control systems for novel, lightweight wind turbine technology
  • Software/Firmware Development: Develop and maintain C/C++ applications for real-time control, monitoring, and data acquisition, focusing on embedded systems
  • Modeling & Simulation: Perform simulation and modeling of control algorithms
  • Hardware Integration: Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and power electronics
  • Testing and Validation: Develop test plans, conduct engineering tests on prototypes, and analyze data to validate performance

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
