Painter – Short-Term Summer Project

Location: Stanford, CA

Pay: $25–$27/hr

Shift: Day Shift

Duration: 3–4 Month Assignment

Experience Required

We are hiring an experienced Painter for a short-term summer project based primarily in Stanford, CA, with some work at nearby Bay Area job sites. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong commercial painting experience who is looking for a solid project with steady day shift hours and the chance to work on well-known properties.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Interior and exterior painting on commercial and residential-style projects
  • Surface prep including sanding, scraping, plastering, and sheetrock finishing
  • Applying paint, stain, and varnish using brushes, rollers, and other painter tools
  • Mixing and matching paint colors to meet project needs
  • Waterproofing surfaces and completing finish work
  • Refinishing furniture and fixtures as needed
  • Traveling between nearby job sites including Stanford, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Menlo Park, and Sunnyvale
  • Working from daily work orders and adjusting to changing project needs
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 3 years of recent painting experience
  • Experience with commercial painting
  • Strong skills in interior and exterior painting
  • Experience with surface prep, plastering, and sheetrock finishing
  • Ability to work independently and produce clean, high-quality work
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions
  • Flexible to work overtime or weekends if needed
