General Information:
Come be a part of the JMU community and a valuable member of the Housekeeping team!
James Madison University's Facilities Management Department is accepting applications for multiple Temporary Summer Housekeeping Workers. Work is 20-40 hours per week starting as early as May 4th and going as late as August 21st, 2026. Typical work schedule is Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Friday 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. 14/15 year old employees will not work more than 8 hours in one day starting at 7:00 a.m.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform regular and special cleaning of assigned areas using manual tools such as brooms and mops and power equipment such as vacuums and auto scrubbers.
Assigned duties will depend on employee's age.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform physically demanding job duties.
Must be 14 years of age or older by the start date.
Housekeeping experience is helpful.
