Job description

Job Summary:

The Admissions Clerk provides overall clerical support to the department, assists with the completion of office projects, and answers phones and greets visitors to the department. Must be able to perform basic math calculations. Training is provided.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Data Processing Duties

    • Application processing

    • Retrieve transcripts, test scores and other documents

    • Process documents into CRM, SIS, and Document imaging system

    • Data Entry

    • Scanning confidential documents

    • Reviewing scans for quality control

  • Front desk duties 

    • Answer calls and redirect or take messages

    • Greet students and visitors and provide admissions information as needed

    • Manage incoming and outgoing emails

  • Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor

 

Required Skills

  • Maintain confidentiality of department information is a must

  • Ability to navigate multiple systems

  • Strong computer and math skills

  • Good typing speed with accuracy

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to multitask/work on multiple projects

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment

 

Preferred experience

  • Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite

  • Knowledge of Banner, Etreive, or Slate 

  • Availability to work during breaks and summer time, preferably for a commitment of two years or more

  • Previous office/clerical/customer service experience preferred

  • Must be currently enrolled at La Sierra University

Wage: $16.90
