DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND TASKS
As a Fashion Design Intern, your primary responsibility is to dive into the product lifecycle, master specialized fashion technology, and sharpen your tactical skills. You will gain unique exposure to multiple distinct brands, learning how to differentiate and apply design principles across various aesthetics. Working directly alongside founders of varied backgrounds, you will gain real-world workforce preparation.
We expect a can-do attitude, deep resourcefulness, and a drive to leverage every single opportunity put in front of you. While your core focus is design and development, you are a team player who will jump in to help with events and marketing initiatives as needed.
Examples of What You Can Expect to Learn and Do:
The apparel design and product development cycle for diverse businesses and brands.
Research current color, textile, and design trends to match unique brand identities.
How to create professional design presentations and compelling mood boards.
Technical design, including flat illustrations and the essential elements of a comprehensive tech pack.
How to create and manage a Time and Action (T&A) calendar.
How to effectively communicate with wholesale suppliers and source materials/swatches.
Measure garment samples and understand basic patternmaking work.
Sample making for production preparation.
Support promotional events, brand marketing initiatives, and other ad-hoc ACCFI activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
High school graduate (or equivalent).
Currently earning a credit-bearing degree in Fashion Design, or a Fashion Design Certificate, is preferred.
OTHER
Must be 18+ years old.
Available to work a maximum of 19 hours per week.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a standard manufacturing and studio environment.
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds (e.g., fabric rolls, sample boxes).
